POPSICLE TIME IN TEXAS

It's been so hot in Texas this last week. Daily temperatures up over 100 degrees. So nothing beats the heat after dinner but an ice cold popsicle. Riley and Abby both enjoyed them very much and went right to the shower after finshing them so that helped to cool off as well.

Makin' Daddy's Favorite Cookies

Last Sunday, Abby was in the kitchen and I asked her what she wanted to make... cookies. She asked her daddy what kind he wanted... according to him there is only one kind of cookie. CHOCOLATE CHIP. So she got busy. Her cookies came out really good and she had fun making them and eating the chocolate chips.

SUMMER BBQ SATURDAY NIGHT

Last Saturday night, everyone met up at Cyclone for a Saturday night dinner of bbq brisket, ribs, sausage, and all the fixins'. The kids had a good time playing near the jukebox and dancing around in a little area. While all the others were playing around, Riley was busy eatin' his first bbq rib. He did a pretty good job of it. (I think he was actually the last one still eating -well, I take that back. Him and his daddy were the last ones still eating).
