Abby's 1st "offical" Haircut

Abby had her first offical haircut this morning at Kid's Cut. She did a great job, until it came time to trim her bangs...she hated that part and has always hated it at home as well. We just got it cut a litte shorter for now and perhaps next time, we will cut it a little more. She looks cute no matter how it is.... (we ended up having about three and half inches cut from the back).

Peters' Family Vacation 2010

You don't ever start your vacation thinking "I will be glad when I am home and in my own bed" but after 10 days of traveling with the kids, I can definitely say that I am glad to have be home and in my own bed at night.
We had a really great time and stayed busy with all that there was to do but it was definitely time to be back.
We started off on vacation on Friday, July 2nd in Dallas and then flew out on Saturday morning bright and early. The little ones did really great on the flight -- this had been one of my concerns since we were flying in first class using our air miles (I hated to think that people might have actually paid alot of money to be there and be disrupted by our littles). Riley was asleep before the plane even took off and he slept thru the whole flight. Abby played the whole time and didn't have any issues until the plane landing before us hit a flock of birds and we had to circle the airport for an extra fifteen minutes before landing.
In Tampa, the kids all had a great time playing at the beach and going to the Florida Aquarium. We watched the 4th of July fireworks from our hotel room. There were firework displays in every direction from the hotel. I enjoyed walking the hotel property as it was really nice with walking paths and a gazebo out near the water's edge.
On Monday, we made the short drive over to Orlando to meet up the rest of Blaine's dance company. It rained on us most of the way and the forecast at the time was for it to rain all week but thank goodness the forecast changed. Blaine and her dance group performed Tuesday morning at Downtown Disney. They had a wonderful job and it was lots of fun to watch. They had over a 100 folks that stopped to watch them perform. Once they were done with that, it was off on the race to the Disney parks. I think the little ones enjoyed the Animal Kingdom park the best and Blaine enjoyed Universal Studios theme park the best. We went to all the parks, except Epcot. We ran out of time as we were taking breaks in the afternoon and early evening for Abby and Riley to rest. It was alot for them to keep up with.
We met Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy and a few other characters. I think Abby was finally warming up to it all towards the end of our trip. Riley didn't mind them so he high fived a few and studied them closely.
We took them to the Atlantic Ocean where they played in the water and sand a little more. I think they could both be beach bums if allowed. Perhaps on the vacation that direction..... here are some photo memories (quite a few actually) from our trip..hope you enjoy them.

Vacation-- part 2. Orlando we have arrived....

Well, Orlando we have arrived. Our first day here was filled with fun at Disney Hollywood studios ... Blaine and Aaron rode the Tower of Terror. The whole went through the Backlot studio tour and we watched the Beauty and the Beast show. Abby enjoyed that very much!

Blaine dances in the morning so more on that later.

Florida vacation - part 1 Tampa

Happy 4th of July from Tampa Bay!

We have been watching the firework displays all the bay from our hotel room. We were lucky to get a room high enough to see.

It's has been a couple of fun but wet days in Tampa. This evening's rain was the worse-- we were caught out in it while out walking at Clearwater Beach and Pier 60. Abby and Riley both liked playing in the sand and water yesterday at Madiera Beach. This morning we went to the Florida Aquarium and all had a good time. Afterwards we drove around Ybor City and then headed out to the beach.

Tomorrow we head to Orlando and to see Mickey and all the gang.

Talk to y'all soon!
