It's so hard to believe that she is in seventh grade now. It seems like just yesterday that I dropped her off at Spring Valley Elementary School for Kindergarten -- crying all the way (me that is). She is growing up so...

1st Dance

Abby trying on her 1st tap shoes. She was so excited about getting them. The next week we had to go back to get her ballet shoes --when we pulled into the parking lot the second time, she was shreking and excited because she knew where we were.

Isn't she pretty?

Here is Abby in her first class with Ms. Jo. She didn't cry. She actually tried to do a few moves that Jo had the class working on. This week, she actually did much better.

4-H Swim Party

"cool mr peters." according to the older boys. Aaron made several big splashes that really impressed the boys of the 4-H club. According to them... he is really cool. My thoughts are: Is he ever going to grow up? and Will he be able to move tomorrow? And my little prayer..."please do not let him hurt himself".

Well he was sore this morning....

4-H Honors

Saturday night was the 4-H banquet and Blaine received several honors.

In the pictures below, she is receiving the Silver Star award from David (one of the 4-H agents) and from a representative from the State Legislature. The Silver Star is one of the highest honors that a 4-Her can earn at Blaine's age. She had to complete a variety of different requirements during the year to earn this. In bottom picture, Blaine is with Sarah (4-H agent).

She also received: District honors, All Star award, and project awards.

We are very proud of all her accomplishments!

End of Summer Splash

Blaine ended the school year with a swim party and finished up the summer with one too.
Karin, Alicia, Morgan, Melana, Skyler, Allison, Blaine and Cody all had a great time in the water.

They splashed out quite a bit of water from the pool, as well.
Cody was the only boy who could come so needless to say I think the girls picked on him.

Can I cook for you?

Abby had her first experience with baking ....

can she make brownies for you?
She stirred the batter.
She got dirty.
She licked her fingers.

She had fun!

Then, she was ready to watch them bake with the oven mitts on.

According to her, they were mmmm.
